The 2026 Federation Plein Air Retreat takes place at the breathtaking Manning Park Resort, nestled in the heart of British Columbia’s Cascade Mountains. Known for its pristine lakes, alpine meadows, and expansive mountain views, Manning Park offers some of the most inspiring and varied plein air painting locations in the province.

This intimate retreat brings together a select group of artists for an immersive creative experience. Under the guidance of our Master Instructors, participants will spend three full days painting en plein air, refining technique, expanding artistic confidence, and learning through hands-on instruction and shared practice.

Beyond painting, the retreat offers space to slow down and reconnect. Evenings are thoughtfully curated with exclusive social activities designed to foster meaningful connections between artists and instructors. Guests are also encouraged to relax, enjoy the resort’s amenities, take quiet walks, or experience Manning Park’s exceptional night skies through stargazing and reflection.

All-Inclusive Retreat Fees include: 

• Three full days of instruction with the opportunity to work with each Master Instructor
  
• All evening social activities (guided tours, panel discussion, live painting demonstration and more)

• Access to Manning Park Resort's amenities and facilities.
   
• Three meals and daily snacks throughout your stay
   
• Four nights of shared accommodation (Choose one below)
  • Lodge Accommodations
    •  Mini Suite – Solo Occupancy:  $2,500 CA
    •  Queen Room – Shared (2 people, 2 queen beds): $2,000 CAD

• Standard Cabin Accommodations (Shared, 3 Guests Total) 
  •  Private Room –  One guest occupies a private room within a shared cabin: $2,000 CAD
  •  Shared Room –  Two guests share one room within a same cabin:  $1,800 CAD

Health, Safety & Participation Requirement:
This retreat includes activities such as carrying personal gear and walking on uneven or hilly terrain. Participants must be able to independently manage their personal mobility, personal care, and equipment throughout the retreat.

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are in good physical health and fit for travel prior to registration. We strongly encourage anyone with medical conditions, mobility limitations, or other health concerns to consult their physician before participating.

Participants who require  assistance with mobility or personal care must attend with a companion who can provide the necessary support for the duration of the retreat.

By registering, participants acknowledge and accept the physical  nature of the program and assume responsibility for their participation.
