Seminar Overview:
Building a productive and sustainable studio routine requires a bit of a mindset shift. If you are selling your art, you are running a business. Artists have often gotten a bad rap when it comes to business because we don’t work within traditional structures. Artists themselves may think “I’m not good with numbers, or I hate math.” The good news is that the numbers side of things can be easily looked after. Artists can absolutely be good at business once a few things are in place. The exciting news is that you get to create an art business in whatever way really works for you.
During this workshop you will learn some valuable tools that will set you up for success whether you run a small scale art business - selling at local craft fairs, or you have eyes on a larger art business - perhaps showing internationally and being recognized for your work.
In my 6 years as a full-time professional artists I’ve created 179 original paintings and sold over 60% of them directly to my clients. My work is collected all over North America and New Zealand. I’m in the preparation stage for an Unparalleled exhibition, titled “Rhapsody in Bloom.” I will be unveiling 21 new pieces this November. I know what's necessary to make this kind of dream a reality and you can too.
In order for our art to really have the impact that we want, getting organized, having a plan, and executing on that plan means that we will reach our goals. At the end of the day we can be proud of what we have accomplished because we have done the work and done it our way.
