Nestled in the heart of the Annapolis Valley, Wolfville is a picturesque town known for its rich cultural heritage, stunning natural beauty, and thriving arts community. The town is surrounded by lush vineyards, rolling hills, and scenic farmland, providing a perfect backdrop for outdoor activities and plein air painting. Whether you're wandering through the vibrant streets, exploring the stunning landscapes, or visiting local wineries, Wolfville offers an unparalleled experience for those seeking to connect with nature and creativity.
Wolfville is also home to Acadia University, a prestigious institution that contributes to the town’s energetic atmosphere. With its dynamic arts programs and cultural events, Acadia fosters a thriving artistic community, making it a hub for creativity and collaboration. For our retreat, participants will stay in classic hotel-style rooms at Acadia, offering comfortable accommodations with all the essential amenities, ensuring a restful and convenient stay while immersed in the town's vibrant atmosphere.
At the start of the retreat, each participant will be assigned to a painting group, ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment. You’ll have the opportunity to paint with two Master Instructors, Ann Willsie and James Middleton, and benefit from their expert guidance throughout the retreat. There will be plenty of time to paint both within your group and on your own, allowing for personal exploration and growth.
In addition to the hands-on instruction, you’ll be able to socialize with fellow artists in the evenings, fostering connections and sharing experiences in a vibrant, creative atmosphere.
Acadia University offers buffet-style dining catering to all dietary needs, and we'll be staying in their classic rooms, designed for comfort and convenience. Bookings include:
