    Constructive Anatomy of the Figure and Head Workshop

    Workshop Overview (4 Sessions):

    This exciting online drawing workshop is designed to help you deconstruct the complex mysteries of representing the head and figure. Many modern artists find find drawing from living subjects intimidating and wish to learn how to use manual drawing skills to solve  representaion challenges in other medium, including paint. Using time honored principles and practical skills that go back to the great artistic periods, you will learn to manually tackle the challenge with simplicity, clarity and confidence. The focus will be on the core  figure and the head as well as associated measurements, proportions and practical representational skills.


    Supply list:

    - Drawing Paper - 18x24 recommended

    - Drawing Board - 24x24 recommended

    - HB or 2B Pencils recommended

    - Kneadable Eraser - Steadler Mars recommended

    - Knitting Needle for manual measuring recommended

    - A stable easel or surface to lean up a drawing board

    - Zoom installed on a large screen device or tv


    About the Instructor - Mark Anthony

    For over 30 years, Mark Anthony's great passion for artistic tradition complimented with his own strong European roots has lead him into a career in representational drawing based on the poetic charm of the old-world European studio. His professional history includes owning and operating a small Alberta based portrait studio/gallery, working with private, historical and municipal heritage projects, and teaching hundreds of students of all levels in the grand tradition of observational and classical drawing. Currently, Mark teaches regular classes in fundamental studies, traditional drawing and portraiture, on the North Shore.
